When I first got my digital camera I was anxious to get some pictures.  It was spring and the weather was overcast.  I never thought that my shoots, would be good enough for photo stock.  I was surprised indeed.  The clown turned-out!  In the picture the clown in his colorful red costume is standing under the largest puffy white cloud;  I think that is what made the picture.  Of course the new digital cameras like the kodak digital cameras

take great pics.

I took some pictures of houses, new houses in a new subdivision.  Of course the houses looked great being new, and with all that great new landscaping.  But, I think it was the clouds that made the picture!  They were dark billowy storm clouds.  One of those pictures is a best seller.

# How do I reduce glare off chrome, water, etc.?
Try a polarizing filter, also called a polarizer. If you have an SLR which uses phase detection for autofocus (most do), then you’ll need to get a circular polarizer to avoid conflicts with your autofocus mechanism. I haven’t tried it myself, but a circular polarizer probably is not necessary with non-SLR digital cameras.
# How can I get more dramatic looking skies in my shots?
Try a polarizing filter, which can also be used to reduce glare.

You can partially correct for chromatic aberration using software tools. If you are shooting in RAW, then there’s a very nice interface to this through the Photoshop CS RAW converter, and now through CS2 even without the converter.

Macro photography is one of the most attractive and popular forms of photography. According to some experts it is very easy to master the art and techniques of macro photography – and that is, perhaps, the secret behind its fame.

Definition of Macro Photography:

Strength of the lens or the range of the lens determines whether the style can be called macro photography or not. A camera with a lens that has a 1:1 range should be used in macro photography so that the image size on the negative or slide is equal to the actual size of the subject.

Hence, if you are using 35 mm photographic film, you should use a camera that can focus on 24×36 mm small area. Then only you can take picture of a subject where the image size on photographic film is equal to the real size of the subject.

When photographing people you first must remain alert to changes in facial expression. If your subject is directly facing the sun he or she will have an uncomfortable expression. To avoid this, wait until a cloud covers the sun or move the subject into a shaded area.

You should avoid any unwanted clutter in the background. This can be easily done by moving your subject. Try to use a background that is neutral in colour. A pale blue sky or a plain solid wall can be perfect.

Why is a 3 megapixel camera better than a 1 megapixel camera? It really depends on how you intend to reproduce the picture. The reason cameras produce pictures at 72 pixels per inch is that this format is standard in video uses such as television and DVD. So there is no noticeable difference in quality when viewing pictures on a TV or DVD. The difference appears when you are cropping and/or printing these pictures. If you are not familiar with the term cropping, I will explain it later. But first let’s talk about printing.
