There was a time when trucks, vans, and cars were hailed for innovations like anti-lock brakes, airbags, and reclining seats. However, when it comes to the most modern cars, innovations are all about interior electronics. Car DVD players, IPod compatible MP3 players, rear-view cameras, GPS navigation, and cooled or heated beverage holders. The technological boom that began in the 1990s integrated itself thoroughly into automobiles all around the world, and now car manufacturers from all countries have become more focused on improving comfort in their vehicles.
The most successful vehicles today combine modern comforts with gasoline efficiency, and are compact in size. Though it’s not clear what the future holds, one indication is that the internet will play an integral part in future automobiles, with select cars now having wifi connectivity and internet capabilities.
