Options you can add to your car, the tech. that knows no age limits is the in-car DVD player.  With one of these devices on board, kids who get fidgety 30 minutes into a 300-mile trip no longer mind traveling by car, and parents can concentrate on driving — or having an uninterrupted conversation.

You can have an in-car DVD player kit installed in your existing vehicle. For vans, SUVs and some crossovers, this is a one-piece system in which the DVD drive and display mount in the headliner. You must choose carefully, however to ensure that the display doesn’t interfere with the driver’s view through the rear window.

A great brand … idm porable dvd player.

A portable player lets you watch a movie anytime, anywhere — perfect for long trips or waits between flights. While you can also play movies on a notebook computer that has a built-in DVD drive, portable DVD players are often smaller and lighter, and may offer more playback options.

Portable DVD players look much like small laptop computers minus the keyboard. Most have a 5- to 10-inch screen (measured diagonally) with a clamshell-style cover that protects the screen when it’s not in use. Others use a tablet style; the screen is always exposed, which might make it easier to see if the player is on your lap. Convertible models feature displays that fold back so that the player can be used in either laptop or tablet mode.

idm portable dvd player and brand names.

what you get for the BIG money:

* Longer battery life
* Larger screens (usually around 10 inches)
* Sharp, clear, colorful displays
* Effective, efficient design
* Comfort of owning a brand name
* Better warranties
* Longer product life
* Bragging rights

Everyone’s heard of Panasonic and Philips, and that’s part of the reason you’ll be paying at least $250 USD to own one of their portable DVD players. As with any electronics shopping, you’ll have to weigh quality versus price, which might depend on the amount of use in the device’s future. If you plan on using a portable DVD player fairly often, it might be in your best interest to purchase a brand-name edition with a colorful display. However, if the use is going to border on overuse, then you may want to look into something cheap that’s easy to replace.

One of the best DVD players, a review … examples of three Toshiba models:

Toshiba portable dvd player

Toshiba SD-P715 - 7-inch model impressed with its long battery life, a stylish remote control, car charger and the AV connectivity, reaching a score of 3 points. Same as in other cases mentioned, it lacks the USB port, card reader and DivX.

In TestFreak’s case,  Toshiba SD-P2800 with score of 10 out of 10 and a price of $345, seems a bit heavier than other DVD players, but has a larger display of 9 inches in diagonal with an acceptable resolution, so all users like it.
The same model from Toshiba is encountered also among the best portable DVD players with an Excellent score at alaTest. Here, users, instead of being happy of its large size, considered the size an impediment in carrying it.

kids dvd player -
best place to start when picking out appliances for your child’s room is to choose appliances that are educational. Kids learning tools are often electronic, but are easy to operate, come in fun colors and have multitudes of games, so your child is sure to be interested in learning this way.

Other kids electronics you’ll want to incorporate are more basic. Kids clocks with large digits and hands make it fun for kids to learn to tell time, and when they get older, fun kids alarm clocks will help them wake up for school in the morning.

If your child is an early movie buff or has favorite cartoons, a kids TV may also be something you’ll want to include. When viewing time is kept in moderation, having their own TV to view favorite shows can turn a kids room into a welcome retreat for a child, and it may also give you a little break to reclaim the living room. Like computers, kids TVs come in bright colors and are very easy to use. A small DVD player, such as a portable DVD player, is a great addition for movie watching that won’t take up a lot of space in the room.

It’s so cool … all the new features in the newer cars.  There is more storage in the glove compartment;  loft style shevles.  An in-dash spot for lip stick, for change or a remote.  One can even have a hands free remote, just keep your key with you.  There is great car dvd player s too.  Many styles, many makes.
